NoWhere Boy (2010; Genre: Biography, Drama, Music) Rating: 4.5/5

John Lennon. . . If you are fans of the beatles, you must have known this name.
Nowhere boy is about the journey of John Lennon starred by Aaron Johnson before he become the world popular singer.

Starting in quite and peaceful town, John is raised by "Mimi" (Kristin Scott Thomas) his aunt and his uncle who in the beginning of the movie died from exhaustion or heart attack. John later meets his long lost mom and eventually learned guitar from her. He then interested to become a singer after his mom "Julia Lennon" (Anne-Marie Duff) brought him to see documentary of Elvis Presley. Along with the movie, John later found out the family affair and dispute that resulted him to be taken by his aunt which eventually has scarred him for a life time. No matter what, a past is a past, then John tried to get his aunt and him mom to get together and become a sisters once again.

The character of John depicts the process of young John turning to adult John in this movie. As well, Mimi character is very well executed and developed. Kristin Scott Thomas act fantastically as "Mimi" depicting the compassion of an aunt to love and to take care the young John as well a good sister and wife. Just can't imagine what will the movie be without the Kristin acting as "Mimi". The movie is well developed and constructed letting the viewers to get a feeling of the young John and what makes him to become a tough John. If you are looking for the path of his career success, you might be disappointed as this movie is about the story before his singing career begins.
At last, the movie is about the making of John Lennon and the Beatles.
For the John Lennon fans, this movie is a must watch movie. For those that are not, this movie is worth a go.
